Making Albury our home away from home for four nights, this five day tour will see us explore the many wonders of Albury and north-east Victoria in all its Spring glory. With so many and varied experiences to have in this part of of our country, we start by exploring our home base of Albury … rich in history we visit the Bonegilla Migrant Centre where we are given a guided tour through what has played a significant part of the history of multi-cultural Australia. We visit the stunning botanical gardens and of course no trip to this part of the world would be complete without visiting the famous Ettamoga Pub.

We will spend a day exploring the beautiful township of Bright as well as taking a trip up one of Victoria’s highest mountains, Mount Buffalo … Mount Buffalo is renowned for the beautiful heritage listed, Mount Buffalo Chalet.

A visit to one of Victoria’s best preserved gold rush towns is also on our list of things to do, and will see us spend the day in Beechworth. Not just famous for its honey, or its bakery, Beechworth is filled with magnificent buildings, 32 of which are National Trust listed, and beautiful gardens which are all a legacy of the gold rush days. Beechworth also has a significant chapter of the Ned Kelly story and we will visit the historic court house where Australia’s most famous bushranger was committed to stand trial for murder.
